Account Development Manager - Inbound Tour Operator - £30k-40k - London

Account Development Manager is wanted by a leading travel company who are continually growing and require someone who holds exceptional customer management skills, a keen ability to thoroughly learn a product and the best way to maximise sales, then this could be the role for you. Placed within one of the UK’s leading Inbound Tour Operators as an Account Development Manager this will be your chance to show your skills to their fullest.

As Account Development Manager, for this brand you will:

  • Building a rapport and strong commercial relationship with clients in assigned markets
  • Liaise and support the sales growth process
  • Building relationships within key accounts at all levels, including initiating promotions, incentives that drive profitable growth and market share.
  • Communication with internal and external clients, both in writing, by telephone and in person
  • Resolution of all technical issues causing blockages to be resolved with the help of IT
  • Delivery of client specific product promotions and evaluation of their success
  • Monitor client booking numbers and margin against set targets and evaluate success
  • Take on new clients as required when they are passed over from Sales
  • Attendance at Trade Shows and overseas travel to visit clients and prospect as required
  • To ensure the CRM system is up to date at all times
  • To be part of the Key Account Team and work with colleagues to find solutions to problems found.
  • To manage and deal with existing accounts and new business subject to change as per business requirements.
  • Freedom and willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland and overnight as the business demands.

The ideal candidate for the role of Account Development Manager will be personable and commercial, able to handle people in all situations. A proven track record in managing a portfolio of clients is key, as is experience within the retail travel industry. As Account Development Manager you will have excellent negotiation and communication skills, both in a written and verbal medium. Knowledge of XML and IT platforms will also be expected, as will a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. As an individual you will be confident, committed to exceeding targets, extremely motivated and an excellent organiser.
