Exciting opportunity has arisen for an account manager to join an expanding  travel companies sales team . You will work  alongside the  Commercial team, formed of other business development and marketing roles, to manage our clients  growing portfolio of large airline and travel company clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

 Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of EMEA-ager based customer accounts  comprising of medium to large airlines and other travel industry partners
  • Driving customer engagement and strengthening relationships with plans to continually improve the overall experience by:
  • Understanding the customer’s vision, needs and value proposition
  • Proactively working with clients as their trusted, consultative business partner
  • Monitoring and reporting on action plans relating to customer happiness
  • Extending our clients reach and brand presence internally within accounts
  • Resolving customer’s business pains and current issues
  • Being the customer’s main point of contact – including escalation and training
  • Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities
  • Communicating product roadmaps and company evolution with customers
  • Promoting and upselling additional modules
  • Growing the volume of notifications sent within existing contract terms
  • Negotiating favourable terms of contract renewals
  • Scoping, pricing and negotiating customer requirements ready for implementation 
  • Preparation and submittal of commercial proposals
  • Working closely with a range of internal teams:

Account Manager skills:

  • A passion for the travel industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in the airline industry, ideally in an operational or software/solution role
  • Airline systems experience – e.g. reservation systems, PSS or similar
  • Ability to travel overseas regularly for customer meetings and industry events
  • Airline industry knowledge with the ability to analyse and match requirements to solutions
  • Customer centric attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and goal orientated with the work ethic to progress your career to the next level
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within organisations
  • Ability to grasp software component architectures on a functional level


Account Manager Addition Skills:

  • Experience of project and contract commercials
  • European languages to business level
  • Contacts within the airline and wider travel industry
  • Knowledge of customer messaging systems
  • Confidence to deliver software training
  • Working knowledge of maintaining a Salesforce CRM
