Accounts Assistant / Book Keeper. The Accounts Assistant / Book Keeper’s role is to assist the finance team in managing the company’s day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organisational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled Accounts Assistant / Book Keeper, multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Our client is offering an excellent Accounts Assistant / Book Keeper opportunity to an experienced candidate to join their company.
Accounts Assistant / Book Keeper Role:
Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
Match purchase orders with invoices
Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management
Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts
Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances
Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
AAT Affiliate at qualified level
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks
Experience in services related to payroll such as writing cheques and submitting payroll taxes
Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
Able to work under pressure
Good verbal and written communication
Able to multitask including the ability to manage a busy mailbox
Work well in a team, excellent attention to detail
Good organisational skills and able to prioritise workload
Hours of Work:
40 hours per week
Monday – Friday 9am - 5.30pm
Starting salary of £23,500 per annum
28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 33 days for long service
