Daughters of Wisdom, Romsey Administration and Hospitality Coordinator vacancy
This is a vital position as the first point of contact in welcoming Sisters, staff and guests to Wisdom House and being part of team that promotes the hospitality of the Daughters of Wisdom. The role requires someone who can operate efficiently and is flexible and adaptable, but most of all who likes to engage with people in a professional, friendly and helpful way. We are looking for a warm and welcoming person who works well with others and believes in our work. Confident, with an excellent telephone manner, you will have experience of dealing with enquiries, bookings and diary management. You will be proficient in MS Office packages and keen to develop your skills further. Ideally you will also have some experience in basic marketing.

Responsible to:Wisdom Centre Manager
Purpose of job: To ensure the smooth running of the work of the Centre and Reception on a day-to-day basis
MAIN DUTIES Enquiries, bookings and Reception duties Respond promptly and professionally to all enquiries about use of the Wisdom Centre whether received by phone, email or in person Manage and record all bookings in line with agreed procedures Ensure that all visitors and telephone callers are received in a friendly and efficient manner and that messages and post are forwarded to appropriate staff Ensure that all booking-in and booking-out procedures for visitors to Wisdom House, Wisdom Centre and Chez Nous (visitors accommodation) are followed, including arrangements for parking, and arrangements for informing individuals and groups of available facilities and emergency procedures. Ensure that all areas of the Centre are tidy, clean and attractive and that all rooms are resourced in accordance with booking requests Ensure that the ethos of the Daughters of Wisdom is reflected in the spirit and ambience of the Centre Respect the privacy and confidential nature of the activities that take place in Wisdom House Administration Make use of Microsoft packages, in particular Word, Access, Excel and Publisher Send out invoices and receive all payments and donations in line with agreed procedures. Record income and expenditure related to the Centre, working with the Finance Team to prepare accounts and budgets for the Centre.
