Adventure Travel Sales Consultant - Banstead - £25,000 plus OTE£28-30k and benefits

 

An Adventure Travel Sales Consultant is required by one of the UK’s leading destination specialists who offer a wide range of inspiring holiday programmes.  As Adventure Travel Sales Consultant you will be working for a company who have been delivering excellent for over 30 years in a vibrant and outgoing office. The Adventure Travel Sales Consultant should have a can-do attitude and have a passion for all things travel!

 

The key responsibilities for the Adventure Travel Sales Consultant are:

·         Sell and recommended various travel products

·         Create high quality package and bespoke itineraries specific to your customers’ needs and expectations.

·         Field a wide range of reservations and assistance over the telephone, in person, email and internet (via Web Chat facility)

·         Maintain an excellent degree of knowledge on the destinations and products you are selling

·         Achieve and aim to exceed personal, department and business sales targets

·         Aim to achieve maximum revenue possible for each booking by proactively up selling on a customers’ itinerary, including selling ancillary products

·         To follow company guidelines in terms of sales follow ups to help maximise conversion and provide feedback as to non-conversion

·         Provide exceptional destination advice and general guidance to customers to assist them from first point of contact and throughout the booking process

 

The key skills required for the Adventure Travel Sales Consultant are:

·         Sales knowledge and experience within a travel sales environment

·         Proven experience of meeting and exceeding sales and performance targets

·         High degree of flexibility and adaptability and ability to deal with change, growth and pressurised deadlines

·         Exceptional sales ability – up-selling and cross selling

·         Excellent eye for detail and accuracy

·         Able to demonstrate teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills

·         Able to demonstrate influencing and negotiating skills

·         Excellent spoken and written English

·         Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills to intermediate standard
