Air Operations Co-ordinator - London - temp role, up to £13p/h
An Industry-leader in luxury cruise travel is looking for an experienced interim professional to join their busy Air Operations team.

  • To manage incoming flight requests to book all flight itineraries and to ensure calls and emails are answered within agreed service levels.
  • To be responsible for producing correct tickets incorporating group, nett, IT and BT fares through the comprehension of airline contracts.
  • Handle large volume of incoming calls from contact centre and direct guests to book flight reservations and handle guest queries ensuring all flight itineraries are booked accurately
  • Send confirmation for bookings where relevant
  • Offering advice and assistance in the selection of the flight itinerary
  • Liaising and assisting colleagues with excess work load within the Air Department
  • Understanding and correct interpretation of all fare rules
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving relating to reservation problems 
  • Execute reports for ticketing purposes checking for 100% accuracy – examining names, flights/schedules and cancellations providing correct data prior to ticketing
  • Maintaining daily ticketing files/Refund applications and all BSP related documentation
  • Liaising with internal customers to plan and prioritise issuance of tickets by cruise tour number

Qualifications:

  • Experience in booking scheduled flights
  • A good general understanding of scheduled flight routings
  • Experience in issuing nett tickets on a wide variety of schedule airlines
  • Experience in issuing different kinds of tickets – nett/BT/IT/published
  • Experience & understanding of Amadeus CRS (preferred) or another GDS
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • A self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Tenacious and proactive with excellent time management skills
  • Computer literate – Word, Excel, and in house systems (Freestyle Connect)
