Platinum Recruitment's Front of House Division are delighted to be supporting this outstanding Surrey Country House Hotel in their search for an Assistant Financial Controller.
The Assistant Financial Controller will support the Financial Controller in the operation of the Finance department to ensure that financial records and controls are accurately maintained.
The idea candidate will deputise for the Financial Controller and attend morning meetings, communicating relevant information to the team.
You will be jointly responsible for the management and training of the accounts team and will ensure good working relationships are encouraged across the property.
The Assistant Financial Controller will conduct regular internal audits and ensure that all costs are reported in the nominal ledger. You will also assist in the preparation of the annual accounts, profit and loss and balance sheets and VAT returns.
The hotel has a very high headcount so payroll experience is essential
Candidates should be fully qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA or similar qualification or experience, with proven track record within leisure /retail/hospitality industry for a 4/5 star self accounting property
You should have a good understanding of Hotel software & systems and Sage at an intermediate level.
Attention to detail is vital and you will be professional and courteous in your approach.
