The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager will suit individuals who have the necessary skills and experience that are suited to a career in the luxury hospitality industry. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager you will need to be customer focused and deliver exceptional service whilst supporting the Restaurant Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with the potential and willingness to work as an Assistant Restaurant Manager.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Restaurant Manager
Proven experience in Hospitality and Retail with excellent service standards - role in a four or five star environment.
Have a good working knowledge of the menu to enable you to assist guests in their selection.
Continually develop ways of increasing quality service in order to exceed the customer's expectations.
Upsell and encourage upselling at every opportunity to maximise profitability.
Deal with all customer feedback and action immediately as appropriate.
Assist the Restaurant Manager in maintaining the highest standards in all aspects of the restaurant's operations.
Coach, guide and train employees to enable them to gain their certificate of excellence. Monitor this process, allocating new team members appropriate mentors.
Ensure that team members are adhering to appearance standards, work standards and are all following good practice.
Regularly review staff performance
Financial and General
Reduce costs where possible.
Ensure that staff ratios are in line with weekly roster and maximising resources.
Check diary daily for business levels, and any special requests.
Complete daily report diary, to ensure that records can be kept for historical use.
Be responsible for security and safe handling of all guest and Fortnum and Mason property
