An Assistant Manager is required for a leading Car Rental Company in Central Milton Keynes / Bletchley - working across both locations as a dual site Manager.
The successful candidate will need to have strong motivational and sales ability with a positive management style and a desire for producing strong results; this includes providing regular feedback, encouragement and recognition of high staff performance across the team.
It is essential that you have the ability to motivate and gain commitment from staff through leading by example. You must be able to encourage staff to contribute to team effort and be able to integrate individuals with different skills into an effective team. We are looking for someone who takes action, shows initiative, utilises their time well and has energy and enthusiasm.
Develop your team to deliver the highest levels of customer service at all times.
Motivate / train and develop your team to promote and sell the Company's products and services to achieve and exceed targets.
Develop local and repeat business and maximise on all sales opportunities.
Work with the fleet department and location Manager to achieve the necessary vehicle levels to maximise the business at the locations.
Ensure the safety and security of staff, customers, premises, vehicles, cash and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices.
Ensure all administration is completed accurately according to operating procedures.
Control fleet and staff costs within agreed budget.
Working in an already strongly established team to further develop and enhance the business.
Experience in Retail / Car rental would be an advantage but not essential - full training given.
Driving Licence essential (minimum age 22 - full clean licence over 4 years ) for insurance purposes. This position comes with a company car and requires travelling to and from other locations / training centres and Head Office visits.
