An Aviation Executive is required by a leading luxury travel company who are market leaders in their field, regular award winners and an employer who genuinely develops its employees.  As Avaiation Executive you will play a key role in the booking of customer’s flights, servicing calls from direct clients, travel agents and internal customers.

As Aviation Executive you will be:

  • Checking and booking flights requested by reservation team
  • Checking flights booked by the automated system.
  • Handling special requests for passengers such as wheelchair assistance, special meals etc.
  • Handling queries from other departments, passengers or agents over the phone and by emails.
  • Handling flight amendments, schedule changes, cancellations and refunds as per company’s guidelines
  • Understanding fares, net fare contracts and ability to use Sabre.
  • Support an out of office emergency contact on a rota basis
  • Ensure customers are invoiced in a timely manner with correct flights details.
  • Handling rail booking requests
  • Handling upgrade requests
  • Make outbound calls to offer additional services and flight upgrades

The successful Aviation Executive will have:

  • Minimum two years in a leisure or business air travel role with GDS experience
  • Good understanding both internal and external customer expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator, articulate with strong interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks and work to deadlines
  • Ability to handle extreme situations
  • Able to remain confident and assertive
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to work with a dedicated and flexible attitude
  • Pro-active problem solver and takes ownership for own performance and development
  • Committed and flexible approach to work and a strong team player
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining positive and resilient
  • Ability to be innovative and create a fun environment
