Bid Writer, Surrey and Home working, £neg

Our client is an established Business Travel Management Agency with offices throughout the UK that services corporate clients travel from SME to large blue chip organisations. This role is to support the Bid Management process and actively contribute to the efficient creation and completion of bids.

The responsibilities of the Bid Writer are as follows:

  • Assisting the Bid Team, who are responsible for preparing responses to a wide variety of individual client requirements as well as framework tenders.
  • Working under the overall guidance of a Bid Manager, the Bid Executive will assist with co:ordinating and producing responses to bids including PQQ responses ITT responses, and presentations, undertaking research where necessary
  • Support the Bid Manager to complete and deliver all bid related tasks.
  • To assist in the development of knowledge management applications/tools to facilitate the sharing of information across the company
  • Work  with bid team members, and other teams in the company to build and maintain good relationships, communicating professionally and effectively at all times.
  • Adhere to the organisation’s policy and procedures on information security and take whatever actions are required to safeguard data and assets.
  • Follow health and safety guidance to ensure that you do not put yourself or any fellow employees at risk and escalate any health and safety concerns to a member of management.

The skills required for the Bid Writer are as follows:

  • Excellent written English skills
  • A methodical approach with good attention to detail
  • Proven capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines where necessary
  • Able to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Working to a stringent bid qualification process
  • Delivering consistently high quality and ultimately winning proposals
  • Ensuring the quality assurance of all written submissions; ensuring factual correctness and consistency of sales messages
  • Maintaining a bid knowledge bank / repository
  • To respond to changing business needs and prioritise own time accordingly
  • Support bid team members
