Bookeeper - Inbound Tour Company

Our client is a £ 1.5 million turnover company working n the inbound travel sector (B2B) and are based close to Kings Cross in London.


They seek an experienced Bookkeeper who can do more than 'just the books' as they also have responsibility (with the management team) for ensuring that the team are on top of the admin and everything is in good order.


The Operations team chase payments from their clients so the Operations Manager is given regular updates on outstanding monies.


Key requirements :


- full range of bookkeeping duties including purchase ledger, sales ledge


- understanding and application of double entry and the Sage system,


- raise invoices against quotations (provided by the Operations team)


- understand VAT requirements, concepts and calculations


- ensure year end files are complete with back up schedules

-  daily bank reconciliation and inform managements of monies in/out


-  reconcile company credit cards


- preparation and filling of VAT returns


- annual accounts production for company accountants


process client credit cards transactions


- develop working relationships with team and suppliers

- excellent written and oral communication skills

- accurate filing/record keeping/ability to in interogate numbers

 


The company is looing for someone who wants to 'put down roots' and so candidates will only be considered if they have a solid track records of employment.
