Job Title: Business Development Consultant
Salary: £35,000 + 10% performance bonus
Location: Home/ Field based

This is an amazing opportunity to join a fantastic company at a very exciting time. You, as Business Development Consultant, would report to our highly skilled Senior Business Development Consultant and work alongside five other really friendly Business Development professionals.
The overall purpose of your job is to ensure member partners are making the most of their membership and receiving the best possible return on their investment, understanding the members business needs and helping develop our product and service base accordingly. You will also get involved with Business Consultancy with some of our member partners making recommendations for all areas of their business. A large proportion of the member partners in the region will be Corporate Travel so we are looking for someone with experience in this side of the travel industry.

Duties of the Business Development Consultant:

  • Gain an understanding of each member partners business and how the business can help meet the challenges
  • Highlight key products and services which are relevant to the member partners business and gain member partner buy-in
  • Have a good working knowledge of all products and services on offer, to ensure the products are presented in a relevant manner
  • Provide member partners with support to help them identify key areas of development within their business and where necessary make business improvements
  • Help member partners increase profitability
  • Measure member satisfaction
  • Conduct business reviews & consultancy

Experience required for the Business Development Consultant:

  • 2/3 years’ experience within the corporate travel sector.
  • Have experience of gaining new business and client relations.
  • Managing and delivering projects
  • Expert knowledge of how a Travel management company operates
  • The ideal Business Development consultant qualities
  • An excellent team player
  • Well versed in member engagement
  • A great communicator
  • Able to work independently with a level of autonomy
  • Naturally enthusiastic and committed
