Business Development Executive, Merseyside, Up To £27,000

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive for our client, an events venue with a strong sporting heritage. The Business Development Executive will proactively drive the Hospitality business and convert sales enquiries into confirmed business, supporting the Regional Hospitality Sales Manager to maximising sales from both new and existing customers.

The Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive are:

  • To proactively sell Hospitality packages to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Devise innovative sales incentives to develop sales and increase existing customer base
  • Identify and target new commercial customers and sectors and generate sales from these markets to achieve business targets
  • Account manage relationships with key Hospitality accounts and agents
  • Support the Regional Hospitality Sales Manager on day to day sales matters
  • To be responsible for meeting and corresponding with all potential clients
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals for new clients
  • Provide accurate weekly sales and activity reports to the Regional Hospitality Sales Manager and Regional Head of Sales.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing department to deliver messages to potential clients.
  • To represent the Region as required at exhibitions, open days and other client liaison activities.
  • To actively participate in local networking groups and relevant stake holders

Desirable skills Required for the Business Development Executive are:

  • Proven record of success as a Sales person in an events sporting venue, hotels and/or hospitality environment.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics and requirements.
  • Excellent communicator
  • Competent financial analysis and reporting ability.
  • Honed planning and organisational skills.
  • A full driving licence
