Business Development Manager – Corporate Travel, Hampshire, Up to £25k plus commission

Our client is an independent Business Travel Management Agency based on the south coast of England in Hampshire. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team and be responsible for identifying prospective clients, wining new accounts via cold calling and client visits, negotiating and closing business within the corporate travel industry. You would also be responsible for account management and maximising the spend of existing accounts by monitoring and upselling value added services.

The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager – include:

  • Meet or exceed the agreed sales targets
  • Research potential new business and prepare targeted cold call lists
  • Create own leads and phone warm leads to book meetings where required
  • Deliver/present the companies proposition via client meetings and presentations
  • Submit proposals, achieve closure and sign new business
  • Implement new accounts strictly in accordance with ISO 9001 quality of service procedures
  • Maintain client database
  • Keep in contact with and maintain a close relationship with key contacts
  • Communicate all relevant information regularly and clearly to the full staff team
  • Attend business networking events
  • Submit weekly and monthly sales figures and forecasts

The skills required for the Business Development Manager – Corporate Travel include:

  • Professional target driven approach
  • High level of spoken & written English
  • Ability to research and identify leads
  • Excellent / positive telephone manner
  • Proficieny in cold calling clients
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient use of MS product suite
