Business Development Manager - Business Travel, Buckinghamshire, £40k + OTE £60k

Our Client who is a leading Travel Management Company is now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The Business Development Manager will be reporting to the Director of Sales. The role’s key objective is to prospect for, and secure new business sales by various means to ensure the achievement of maximum sales, profitability and growth in line with company vision, values and goals.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager – Business Travel – will include:

  • Understand the business plan and sales strategy
  • Achieve personal sales goals and maximise profitability.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Establish, maintain and expand customer base
  • Increase business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers
  • Lead generate and cold call corporate clients from SME's to large Corporates
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Represent the organisation at trade exhibitions, meetings, industry and networking events
  • Assist with air & hotel quotes for new business presentations and RFP process
  • Conduct new business implementation meetings

Key Skills of the Business Development Manager – Business Travel – will include:

  • Strong experience of working in business development with a TMC
  • Experience in a B2B sales environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Experienced in relationship building
  • Ability to meet targets
  • Proficient in the use of ACT Premium
  • Proficient MS Office user, especially Powerpoint

The Business Development Manager - Travel would ideally suit an energetic Sales person with a minimum of 3 years of experience of winning Business within the corporate travel market.
