Business Development Manager - Digital Travel Platform, Up to £65k plus bonus, London

Business Development Manager required with experience in SaaS solutions for the Business Travel Sector.
The way you book Business Travel is changing and our client with their advanced NDC travel platform, that combines the latest AI-driven technologies with unrivalled multi sector flight booking, hotel and car hire inventory plus an advanced travel policy configuration is looking to develop new corporate clients by offering them the best travel solutions through the use of their cutting edge online booking and expense solution.

The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager - Digital Travel Platform:

  • As a Business Development Manager within the Business Travel space, you will be tasked with sourcing potential clients, building a pipeline of active opportunities coupled with managing the associated sales cycle.
  • Identify and secure new business through successful solution selling of the NDC Travel Platform and the incorporated products
  • Build strong relationships with Travel Managers, Procurement, PA's and C-Suite
  • Deliver face to face presentations, demonstrating the technology and highlighting the savings prospective clients will achieve
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and managing the internal purchasing process.
  • Regular and accurate forecasting of pipeline movements within the internal Customer Relations Management tool (CRM) to senior management.
  • Attending networking events, conferences and exhibitions - building an external network helping you to become a thought-leader within the industry.
  • Consistently demonstrate the required level of sales activity. You will be expected to drive activity for both client meetings and demonstrations weekly and monthly.
  • Work with key stakeholders to support your own, and collective revenue achievement within the UK business.

The skills required of the Business Development Manager - Digital Travel Platform

  • Minimum 3 + years sales experience, in business development, lead generation, outbound calling or equivalent
  • Experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions sales.
  • Understanding of websites, content management systems (CMS), social media and web technology.
  • Degree Educated
  • Able to communicate at C-Suite level.
  • A hunter who loves the thrill of new business and the recognition from contributing to growth and the rewards it delivers.
  • Someone who thinks ‘outside the box’ and brings new ideas to their market and portfolio.
  • Demonstrates drive and determination together with passion and commitment to succeed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record in exceeding sales target consistently.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of the Travel Industry would be a strong advantage
