Business Development Manager -Events, London, £comp

Our client who is a Global Events Agency are now looking for a Business Development Manager - Events to help further develope their Corporate identity within the UK market. The Business Development Manager - Events must be a confident, dynamic individual to maximise opportunities through tender and RFP/RFI processes and ideally ‘open doors’ for the team of experienced event managers to confirm and deliver the events.

Duties & responsibilities of the Business Development Manager Events:

  • Research opportunities for the company to enter tender and RFP/RFI processes
  • Ensure companies inclusion on procurement event rosters
  • Generate new leads using new and existing contacts to win business
  • Create new contacts through networking and industry events
  • Build client relationships
  • Generate leads and develop a network of potential clients using their extensive contacts in the industry and attendance of networking events.


Knowledge & skills required of the Business Development Manager Events:

  • At least 3 years in the events industry
  • Preferably with operations experience
  • Confident and engaging with credibility to sell to event buyers in a busy events marketplace
  • Great financial and organisational skills with ability to prioritise in a challenging environment
  • Proven track record in events sales and delivery of high level customer service with a proactive and positive approach
