Business Travel Account Manager, London - Up to £45k plus bonus

Our client, a fresh and successul Travel Management Company based in London, is seeking an experienced Business Travel Account Manager to join their ever-growing team managing a portfolio of accounts and dealing with a niche market.

Business Travel Account Manager Responsibilities:-

  • Provide an exceptional account management service to both new and existing clients
  • Develop and agree quarterly business plans to satisfy both the client and the company
  • Develop KPI's and metrics
  • Design an optimum online / offline channel strategy for each account
  • Visit client locations to develop strong relations with major stakeholders to ensure their satisfaction and engagement with the service.
  • Work to a personal sales plan
  • Work alongside Business Development Managers and the customer solutions team to adopt the management of new client wins
  • Prepare and present information including RFI’s and Tender Proposals as required
  • Maintain CRM information in line with the sales policy
  • Develop client sector and travel industry knowledge/expertise through research, reading and networking in the sector
  • Monitor competitor activity and travel industry changes
  • Identify and attend client specific exhibitions and other promotional & networking events
  • Prepare daily and weekly sales reports as required by the Head of Account Management
  • Plan diary schedules so as to maximise productivity and reduce travel costs

Business Travel Account Manager Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years proven account management skills in a structured, B2B solutions environment, ideally in travel
  • Experience in managing accounts with client revenues £1m - £10m+
  • Experience working with heads of procurement, Finance Directors and C-level Executives
  • Use of sales methodologies/training in account management, to develop joint account plans and drive client growth
  • Experience of working in complex sales environments with multiple stakeholders e.g. users, managers, HR, Finance, Executive
  • Experience in managing and responding to tenders in a pseudo public sector environment
  • Significant commercial acumen – particularly in sales analysis and forecasting
  • Confidence in working in a technology-driven environment in respect to both client solutions and internal processes/applications
  • Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Good IT competency - particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database management
