Business Travel Assistant Manager (Conference & Events) – East Kilbride (G74)

Our 'award winning' business travel client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Manager to join their well-established 'conference & events' team in their busy offices in East Kilbride (G74).

The Role

As an Assistant Manager you will primarily support your Line Manager in ensuring that all operational employees know exactly what is expected of them in terms of targets, standards & KPI's, and that you effectively help to monitor their performance to ensure compliance. You will ensure all agreed processes and products are introduced and utilised to the maximum efficiency and then monitored for adherence, whilst monitoring compliance of all customer care initiatives. You will assist the Branch Manager in dealing with any employee related issues, and assist fully in the implementation of new accounts at the agreed service levels. You will also assist in increasing the volume of net tickets purchased through the Air Fares Unit, and work closely with the Account Management team to ensure maximum opportunity to retain customer accounts.

Requirements

As an Assistant Manager you will have a proven track record working within a similar management or supervisory role in business travel, and preferably have experience specialising in the area of conference & events. You will have the ability to manage, motivate & develop a team of consultants whilst leading by example, and ensuring all targets, KPI's & SLA are achieved. You will be extremely organised Assistant Manager who can work well with a team environment, and have the ability to communicate effectively on all levels. You will also be a very 'hands on' Assistant Manager with extensive experience working with net fares & net fares contracts, and a good working knowledge of the Galileo GDS.
