Our client, one of the UK's leading travel management companies is currently looking to recruit a number of experienced business travel consultants to handle all business travel reservations on a portfolio of client accounts from their busy offices in central Glasgow.
As a business travel consultant you will have a good working knowledge of the UK & International business travel markets, and have the ability to build strong relationships with clients on a portfolio of business travel accounts. You will be required to tailor-make complex travel itineraries for your business travel clients, and make reservations for domestic, European & International scheduled flights and various ground products (hotels, car hire, rail & ferries). You will liase with the operations division to handle any business travel related fares & ticketing queries and have the ability to offer your clients advice on general business travel practice.
As a business travel consultant you will have some extensive experience working in a similar business travel or business travel reservations role booking scheduled flights and various ground products (hotels, car hire, rail & ferries), and have some proven fares knowledge to include nett & published fares, and route deals. You will have great attention to details, be extremely customer focused, and have the ability to work to tight deadlines within this fast-paced business travel environment. You will be a self-starter, extremely PC literate, and have a good working knowledge of a GDS (preferably Sabre, but cross training is available).
