Business Travel Implementations/Engagement Manager, London, up to £35k

Our client who is a well established Independent Business Travel Company with offices throughout the UK and Europe are now looking for an Business Travel Implementations/Engagement Manager. The role involves taking a customer through a structured on-boarding process from consultancy during the requirements phase, gathering data, building relationships, creating communication and training plans and working towards tight time scales to meet agreed targets.

Responsibilities of the Business Travel Implementations/Engagement Manager are;

  • Act as facilitator to agree implementation plans for each customer with the Sales and Operations team, to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Work closely with the relevant internal teams to ensure implementation plans are delivered to the agreed standards and timelines.
  • Liaise directly with customers to understand requirements and propose effective solutions
  • Organise regular implementation meetings with the relevant internal teams acting as co-ordinator for updates and general communications on the implementation programme.
  • Act a central point of contact for all internal teams involved in the implementation plan to ensure all relevant data is taken into account in the delivery process.
  • Ensure any barriers to the implementation process are identified and address or escalated to the Head of Customer Experience as appropriate for resolution.
  • Support customers with new and challenging requests both through the implementation process and thereafter.
  • Manage specific customer engagement programmes across territories
  • Maintain high standards of knowledge of the booking process, identifying and recommending improvements where possible.
  • Produce management information from our booking tools to enable sound decision making. Analyse data as appropriate and make recommendations based on solid data.

Skills & Competencies required of the Business Travel Implementation/Engagement Manager;

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the travel sector.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Customer facing role
  • Worked with GDS and has an operational travel background
  • Strong creativity skills with an interest in customer engagement and marketing
  • Analytical skills – reporting results to the business.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and work towards structured project plans
  • Act as a role model to others by exhibiting behaviours within the company’s value model
  • Exceptional Customer service and communications skills
  • Pro-active in engaging people and gaining “buy in” from all involved parties
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to “think outside the box”
  • Have a proven record of working within a team
  • Ability to manage projects to strict timelines, bringing others along with them
  • Positive and resilient with a “can do” approach
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances

The Business Travel Implementation/Engagement Manager role would ideally suit a customer facing Lead Agent or Team leader who has implemented accounts in the past or assisted in the implementation.
