Business Travel Supervisor, Essex, Up TO £30k

We have an immediate opportunity for a Business Travel Supervisor to join our client, one of the UK's leading travel management agencies, specialising in business travel and corporate event management. The Business Travel Supervisor will be responsible for the consistent delivery of excellent service to all clients, provide dynamic leadership for all customer service functions and ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered by the business.

Key Accountabilities of the Business Travel Supervisor:

  • Set and communicate operational service standards in accordance with company policy and objectives.
  • Identify and agree individual and team service targets and performance objectives (NRC).
  • Monitor and review all performance indicators, taking appropriate action when performance standards are not achieved.
  • Establish and implement best operational working practices, policies and processes.
  • Manage the Helpdesk and assign tickets accordingly.
  • Promote and maintain a “Customer First” culture in all areas,
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that operational service standards are fully integrated
  • Monitor 24-hour reports for service failures, discuss and resolve any problems with the relevant consultant.
  • Measure and report on the performance of the NRC against client Service Level Agreements, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Deputise for the Head of Customer Services as required.
  • Ensure that all resources are deployed effectively so that maximum profitability for the business is achieved.
  • Facilitate the development of all direct-line reports and ensure that they demonstrate commitment to the on-going development of the people within their teams.
  • Carry out appraisal, disciplinary and other interviews as required ensuring that they are properly documented.
  • Attend meetings, conferences; client meetings and sales events as required.

Experience Required for the Business Travel Supervisor role:

  • Previous experience of leading a corporate travel team
  • GDS Knowledge preferred
  • Proven track record of provide excellent customer service in a B2B environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of how corporate travel fares are built
  • Knowledge and understanding of all operational processes and how they fit with the rest of the business.
  • Analytical – able to interpret and report on data
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
