Our Manchester based client is a leading name in the Business Travel sector and are looking for a an industry professional with managerial or supervisory experience to bring out the best in one of their specialised Business Travel teams.

Joining as a Business Travel Team Manager, the successful candidate will lead their team to success in our client's Operations Department. They'll be expected to work towards the successful achievement of the current business and team targets including the maximisation of profit within the team whilst maintaining outstanding levels of customer care. They'll provide strong motivational leadership to the team; contributing to the growth and development of the business and will be accountable for the complete performance management cycle of the team and will take a proactive stance on talent management in their team, cultivating high performance.

Role of Business Travel Team Manager:

  • To enhance and monitor the performance of their team; to build capability; engage the team; and to help achieve business plan objectives.
  • To be a positive role model for their team, showing proactively in all areas of both client service and people management.
  • Provide clear objectives for the team in order to meet all Service Level Standards and provide clients with a seamless customer experience
  • Conducting 1-to-1s, providing feedback and coaching
  • Providing support and advice and encouraging personal development
  • Taking a hands-on approach, maintaining a good level of understanding of the reservations and back office systems.

Skills required for the role:

  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience, ideally within the Business Travel sector
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Hands on approach and leads by example
  • In-depth GDS knowledge
  • Approachable and able to offer support and advice
