Adecco Durham is currently recruiting for a temporary part-time Catering Manager, for our client based in Durham.
It is essential that the candidate has Basic Level 2 Food Handling qualifications.
The ideal candidate will: *Have experience of working in a caf/small kitchen. *Manage and lead the catering team to provide a high quality and variety of refreshments. *Ensure all food is prepared and displayed attractively in accordance with food hygiene standards. *Ensure the delivery, storage and management of food stocks are in line with health and Safety and hygiene regulations. *Ensure kitchen and catering surfaces are cleaned in accordance with Health and Hygiene standards. *Assist with food/beverage preparation and serving. *Maintain a customer and suppliers allergen record. *Co-ordinate out of hours catering events. *Ensure customer service area is kept clean and free of rubbish. *Carry out Health and Safety Risk Assessments in relation to catering management and take remedial action where required. *Assist in the development of catering policies and procedures. *Manage daily/weekly orders of consumables. *Undertake weekly stock check and valuation. *Calculate and monitor the weekly and monthly GDP return. *Use email and Excel spread sheets to carry out daily duties. *Manage, motivate and supervise catering staff.
Experience of operating a Barista machine is desirable.
Shift pattern: 7am - 1.45pm with 30 minute break (31.25 hours) Pay rate: 8.58 per hour
