Adecco Durham is currently recruiting for a temporary part-time Catering Manager, for our client based in Durham.It is essential that the candidate has Basic Level 2 Food Handling qualifications.The ideal candidate will:*Have experience of working in a caf/small kitchen.*Manage and lead the catering team to provide a high quality and variety of refreshments.*Ensure all food is prepared and displayed attractively in accordance with food hygiene standards.*Ensure the delivery, storage and management of food stocks are in line with health and Safety and hygiene regulations.*Ensure kitchen and catering surfaces are cleaned in accordance with Health and Hygiene standards.*Assist with food/beverage preparation and serving.*Maintain a customer and suppliers allergen record.*Co-ordinate out of hours catering events.*Ensure customer service area is kept clean and free of rubbish.*Carry out Health and Safety Risk Assessments in relation to catering management and take remedial action where required.*Assist in the development of catering policies and procedures.*Manage daily/weekly orders of consumables.*Undertake weekly stock check and valuation.*Calculate and monitor the weekly and monthly GDP return.*Use email and Excel spread sheets to carry out daily duties.*Manage, motivate and supervise catering staff.Experience of operating a Barista machine is desirable.Shift pattern: 7am - 1.45pm with 30 minute break (31.25 hours) Pay rate: 8.58 per hourAdecco is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
