Role purpose:

The Global Land Commercial Team is responsible for commercial reporting & analysis, pricing and yield management of 1SOURCE. This is a diverse role to support the Commercial Assistant Manager in all areas of commercial reporting & analysis, pricing and yield management to ensure we remain competitive against other travel and online providers while growing volume and protecting yield.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Brochure pricing (25%)

  • Manage the Global Brochure pricing for all suppliers by creating the pricing sheets and coordinate as required with the Brochure and Contracting Team to ensure zero errors and delivery to deadline.

Commercial Reporting & Analysis (50%)

  •  Assist with creating regular Commercial Reports as required.
  • Be able to interpret reports independently and provide a summary of sales and trends.
  • Create ad-hoc reports on request of the Global Contracting Team or Divisions.
  • Assist the Commercial Assistant Manager with automating all reports in collaboration with the MIS-team.

Yield Management (25%)

  • Manage the Price Match process, liaising with agents/divisions/suppliers/contracting team as necessary.
  • Support the Commercial Assistant Manager with all areas of pricing analysis and yield management as required.

In addition:

  • Show a commercial mind-set by giving input to improve competitiveness and sales.
  • Help to improve the Commercial Department KPIs by focusing on analysis of reports and the Contracting ‘Triangle of Success’.
  • Show excellent knowledge and champion the 1SOURCE system.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all areas of the business.
  • Have an understanding of STA Travel and its global business strategy.


Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies i.e. those (including qualifications) required to fulfil role

  • A good level of Excel knowledge, including pivot tables.
  • An ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency, along with a keen eye for detail, when dealing with lots of numbers.
  • An understanding of the pricing/margin relationship.
  • A pro-active, can-do attitude.
  • An ability to pick up new skills quickly.
  • Able to work effectively on their own as well as part of a team.
