Commercial executive- 16-17K- Devon

A Luxury award winning Travel and Tourism organisation are expanding and require a Commercial Executive who can work across a number of areas within the business. This travel and tourism company will look at a Graduate who has an analytical mind and an interest in numeracy and pricing.

The responsibilities of the Commercial Executive are:-

  • Managing supplier databases including contact and financial information
  • Managing supplier contracts and keeping records up to date internally on a regular basis
  • Being the point of contact for supplier contracts with overseas suppliers around the world
  • Daily posting of supplier invoices on our system
  • Managing special offers from suppliers and helping to create commercial opportunities for the marketing and sales teams
  • Loading contract rates for pricing
  • Pricing for the holidays once fully trained in other aspects
  • Managing marketing contributions from suppliers

The skills required for the Commercial Executive are:-You should be analytical and work methodically but with alacrity.

  • You will ideally have a degree in Business Studies or a related numerate/logical thinking field.
  • You need to have an eye for numbers, think logically but speedily.
  • Far from being a back room job, this role requires sensitive people-skills with an ability to communicate internally with departments and externally with suppliers, often overseas.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.
  • An ability to understand systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Travel and Tourism Industry and personal knowledge of our destinations is an advantage.
