A prestigious hotel based within the area of Southampton are seeking an experienced conference/events assistant to work within a small friendly team. You will be responsible for dealing with enquiries from corporate and private clients with regards to a variety of functions and events. You will show prospective clients around the hotel's facilities and maximise on any upsell opportunities. Computer literate with strong administration skills you will be able to work in an organised and professional manner at all times. Ideally you will have previous and relevant work experience from working within a similar role for another hotel. Bright, outgoing and with strong communciation skills you will be able to rapport build quickly with your clients to secure new business and develop existing accounts to the full. Due to the location of the hotel own transport is desirable. This is predominantly a Monday to Friday role however there is also some flexibility required with regards to working occasionally at the weekend.
