Travel - Contracts Executive (UK & Ireland) London – £24k

 

A Travel Contracts Executive is required by a leading Travel Tour Operator to join their team. You will be joining a vibrant team of travel contractors who have a passion for building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers in the travel/hospitality industry. Your expertise and knowledge of the travel & tourism/hospitality industry will come into play whilst negotiating agreements with suppliers to obtain the best possible commercial terms

 

As a Travel Contracts Executive, what will you be doing?

  • Ensure accommodation is contracted at the best conditions for both FIT and Groups
  • Build, manage and maintain relations with key travel suppliers
  • Ensure you achieve all KPIs, based on rates and availability/number of contracts
  • Contract for flash sales and special promotions
  • Monitor availability and increase where possible
  • Find prospective hotel partners & re-negotiate existing agreements with the best possible commercial terms
  • Build strong relationships with hotel partners, providing regular performance reporting analysis
  • Contract for specific client and or market requirements
  • Cor-ordinate product loading and ensure all contracts are on sale
  • Update clients and colleagues accordingly on new products and or existing changes to products
  • Solve problems that cannot be solved by FIT and Group Departments:  overbooking situations
  • Dealing with complaints/ finding solutions to ensure clients are content
  • Attending FAMTRIPS and networking events
  • Assisting with invoice queries – liaising with accounts department

 

What do they expect from you?

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail/accuracy and precisions
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Estimated travel annually: 12-16 weeks
  • Knowledge of the UK & Ireland an advantage but not essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office application (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
