A Contracts Manager is required by a leading international tour operator to be responsible for supplier relationships within the groups department.   As Contracts Manager you will undertake purchasing tasks for your markets, build successful relationships with suppliers where you will ensure you are buying at the best possible rates to maximise margins across a full product portfolio

 

As Contracts Manager you will:

 

  • Be contracting and placing series business (over 3 departure dates)
  • Re-negotiate existing group allocation hotel agreements in above areas and for negotiating new agreements with suitable hotels as well as non-hotel services
  • Provide feedback of accurate and competitive tariff rates for non-allocation hotels to
  • Create and maintain accurate hotel lists/contact lists and area pdf maps
  • Adhere to all reasonable purchasing requests to ensure that the groups are placed at the best possible rates available
  • Achieve targets set in terms of allocation buying
  • Remain fully informed of your clients and markets needs
  • Maintain and improve good relations with all suppliers
  • Develop product knowledge by participating in relevant FAM trips and undertaking visits
  • Negotiate better ad-hoc group rates with contracted and non-contracted suppliers
  • Negotiate and book space for events the department is pro-actively promoting a date for group travel, or a series, and to manage this space.

 

The Contracts Manager will have previous experience of working in a similar role for a leading travel company, and have a professional approach to work and strong negotiation skills.  As Contracts Manager you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be fluent in one other European Language, with strong commercial awareness and be target driven.
