Corporate Account Manager – London – £Competitive


We have an immediate opportunity for an Account Manager to join the operations team of our client who are a global ground transportation company. You will be responsible for building, developing and maintaining relationships within a B2B environment; managing and growing a portfolio of corporate accounts and developing new opportunities

The responsibilities of the Account Manager role:

  • Be the first and main point of contact for the assigned portfolio
  • Deal with any issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure regular communication with the client through meetings, emails and telephone calls
  • Present and have input into customer presentations, proposals and customer MI
  • Communicate any issues with other parts of the business and work together to improve systems and practices
  • Increase efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Implement price increases when required
  • Identify and develop new opportunities within the portfolio and increase exposure through customer information, booker days, networking etc.
  • Prepare quotations and advise on pricing and ensure all reservation and quotation requests are handled correctly
  • Identify and develop opportunities outside of the portfolio
  • Explore all new leads thoroughly and report back to the Head of Business Development
  • Support the tender process
  • Record all customer and prospect interaction thoroughly in Salesforce

Essential knowledge and skills required for the Account Manager role:

  • Proven record of managing, developing and implementing corporate accounts
  • Well-presented and excellent spoken and written English
  • A confident self-starter with good interpersonal, communication and written skills
  • A passion for service excellence and the ability to work and remain calm under pressure
  • Good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills and comfortable with new technology
  • Attention to detail

Desirable skills required for the Account Manager Role:

  • Presentation skills
  • An understanding of ground transport
  • An appreciation of business travel
  • Some experience of dealing with travel and/or procurement departments within large City institutions
