Corporate Travel Section Manager: - Required for this well known large TMC based in a great location in central London. They are looking for an experienced business travel team leader from another TMC ideally with Galileo knowledge or a Senior Consultant/Lead Agent looking to step up .They will pay between 36K + bonus and great benefits.
Corporate Travel Section Manager duties:
-Looking after a team of around 20 staff
-Ensure your team is familiar with client specific travel policies, client specific preferred supplier programmes and client specific procedures.
-Ensure your team has a full understanding of galileo, back office system
- Encourage the team to share Galileo knowledge as well as support each other with any Sabre issues/queries
-Ensure your team offer cost saving options/alternatives where possible. Encourage the team to share air fare knowledge as well as support each other with any fares/reissue queries
-Ensure your team develops and maintains a good rapport with travellers and travel bookers.
-Ensure communication, both written and verbal, is professional, efficient and meets company performance expectations.
-Take responsibility for the account management on smaller clients
-Take responsibility for managing client complaint/issues in a professional manner
-* Responsible for individual staff performance and development programmes. This includes, staff recruitment, new starter induction/training programmes, new starter 6 week, 3-month and 6 month reviews, yearly appraisals and any other staff development programmes or ad hoc staffing matters which may arise.
-Take responsibility for individual and team KPI performance.
-Responsible for ad hoc coaching within the team to develop and/or encourage individuals at varying stages of their career.
Business travel supervisors skills required
-Previous Supervisory/Team Leader experience for another TMC ideally, but they will consider a senior consultant to make the step up.
-Experience in managing performance programmes
-Experience in delivering targeted results.
-Experience of coaching/mentoring lesser experienced staff members within the team.
-Ability, confidence and experience to lead and develop the team as a standalone unit/department
-Self-motivated with a 'can do ' attitude
-Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
-Experience in developing relationships with clients through attending client meetings, managing and resolving customer service issues as well as ongoing day to day relationships.
-Galileo experience preferred
-Experience in offering online support
-Proven record in time management to increase productivity/transaction rates
