My client, one of the UK's leading independent travel organisations, is currently looking to recruit an experienced cruise sales consultant to join their specialist cruise team in their busy call centre in Manchester. As a cruise sales consultant you will handle calls & enquiries from direct customers within a busy call centre environment, and primarily book independent cruise holidays with various tour operators across the UK. Working for an independent travel company, you will also have the ability to de-package a standard cruise holiday, and tailor-make a specific travel itinerary to match the exact needs & requirements of your customer.
Duties for this Cruise Travel Consultant role:
-Receive inbound calls, booking clients chosen cruise.
-Book alternatives if cruise has been filled, book add-ons, upgrades and offer ancillary products.
-Tailor-make cruise itineraries.
-Achieve specified sales conversion targets.
-Advise, facilitate and assist the clients to sell these cruises.
-Use appropriate tools and systems to maximise sales opportunities.
-Identify and act on customer's buying signals.
-Remain aware of current discounts offered and to apply these correctly to bookings, always aiming to offer the best price in line with our competitors.
-Experience in the cruise industry or strong sales experience selling cruises
-A good knowledge of a wide range of cruise products
-A genuine passion for booking and selling cruise
-Sales and target driven with the ability to upsell on products
-PC literate with good working knowledge of several travel booking systems
