Customer Service Specialist, Manchester, £comp

Our Client who is an award winning Global Travel Management Company are on a recruitment drive due to continued and sustainable growth within their sectors. They are looking for a Customer Service Specialist who excels in customer service and understand the need to continue to provide a seamless service to their customers in all areas of the travel management process.

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Specialist are:

  • Action all airline queues.
  • Action all airline scans and schedule changes.
  • Answer queries and make changes relating to tickets which are already issued.
  • Action email quotes and queries regarding any other aspects of issued bookings.
  • Using the opportunity to double check all bookings in order to provide both the best customer experience and maximisation of revenue.
  • Build rapport and good relationships with all new and existing clients, ensuring specific client policies are adhered to.
  • Actively listen to the client and proactively assist them.
  • Ensure their specific travel needs are met.
  • Attend client seminars in order to facilitate good client relations.
  • Assist clients who may be calling for another team member who is busy

Skills required of the Customer Service Specialist are;

  • Minimum of 3 years customer service experience
  • Minimum 5 grade C GCSE’s including English and Maths
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Customer focused approach
  • Experience of using travel systems (GDS, booking tools)
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Strong communication and listening skills

The Customer Service Specialist role would ideally suit an experienced an Experienced Customer focussed travel person.
