A Customer Service Manager is required by one of the UK’s fastest growing travel company’s.  Working for a dynamic, forward thinking, progressive company, this newly created position will see you overseeing the running of a highly motivated team.  As Customer Service Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of customer service are maintained for all post-sales functions prior to clients travel.

As Customer Service Manager you will:

  • Training new and existing staff on all aspects of the after sales customer service functions.
  • Credit Control - Taking responsibility for agreed targeted aspects of the payment process, including notifying customers and/or travel agents when their payment is due. Acknowledging when payments have been received, and reporting any overdue outstanding payments.
  • Prioritising and chasing in outstanding supplier confirmations by email, fax and telephone.
  • Mini call centre – answering incoming after sales calls.
  • Prioritising workloads amongst the team and meeting daily targets.
  • Make recommendations where additional working hours are required within the team.
  • Ad-hoc administration for your manager.
  • Assist with all pre-departure enquiries i.e. amendments, cancellations, changes. Dealing with post travel customer complaints in writing and by telephone. Liaising with other departments, fully investigating issues and escalating these when necessary.
  • You will assist your manager in any crisis or emergency situation in a professional, proactive and timely manner, communicating effectively with all parties.

The successful Customer Service Manager will have experience of working in the travel industry, managing a small team, where you will have successfully worked with customers in a busy high volume environment.  The Customer Service Manager will have exceptional people skills, be a strong verbal and written communicator who is confident and assertive whilst being calm and patient under pressure with the ability to build rapport and empathy with customers.
