Job Title: Customer Support Specialist (travel technology)

Location: Putney

Salary: up to £25,000

Summary:

We are looking for a customer support specialist working for a specialist travel technology company. As part of the support team you will   deliver industry leading customer service by acting as the first point of contact by phone or email for our travel agency / tour operator customers.

Responsibilities of the Customer Support Specialist (travel technology):

  • Logging and taking ownership of calls and emails from customers as cases in the Support/CRM system
  • Resolving straightforward cases directly
  • Gathering detailed information, reproduction steps and log files if appropriate for more involved cases
  • Assigning more involved cases to the appropriate team with the expertise required to further investigate the case
  • Keeping customers informed of progress on their cases at key points such as when a case is identified as a bug to be resolved in a forthcoming release

Experience required of the Customer Support Specialist (travel technology):

  • At least two years in a customer service oriented role
  • At least one year working in a travel agency, tour operator or travel technology company
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Confident in dealing with customers over the phone
  • Microsoft Windows and Office proficiency
  • Self-motivated and capable of working successfully under minimal supervision
  • Able to thrive in a small, fast moving, fluid, and demanding organisation
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a large number of tasks
  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
