Data Analyst - Relationship Management, London

Our client, a travel organisation based in London with a large client portfolio is looking for a Data Analyst that has experience in managing clients on a relationship level as well as delivering accurate, timely, insightful reports using VBA, SQL and /or Access.

The responsibilities of the Data Analyst are as follows:

Working with the Senior Business Analyst & the client’s Travel Manager to determine client reporting requirements – content, frequency and delivery schedules. Enhance existing reporting to make it your own.

  • Develop relationships with the client, as appropriate, to provide direct lines of communication
  • Production of management information reports including trend analysis and commentary
  • Meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations
  • Liaising with the technology teams to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of data
  • Production and development of client review documents
  • Production of ad hoc client reports, as required
  • Pro-actively designing and delivering new reports to clients that add value to their programme

The skills required for the Data Analysis role are as follows:

  • Degree educated
  • Experience in the travel industry is ideal, but not essential
  • Experience of having undertaken key data reporting / analysis role for one year or more
  • Broad understanding of business, with the particular ability and inquisitiveness to understand the impact of travel on the client’s business objectives & performance
  • Highly Numerate – eye for detail & accuracy
  • Ability to bring numbers to life with explanation and commentary
  • Creative and forward thinking – ability to recognise and implement ‘best practice’
  • Microsoft Excel expertise & aptitude
  • Experience of Access & SQL databases
  • A reliable and committed individual with the desire to continually improve performance
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with the team and clients
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines when working under pressure
  • Self motivated
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
