In this key role you will work with and support the Head of Learning in the curriculum area to lead innovative curriculum development and diversification of our programme, contribute to the overall development and success of the College and help to ensure that corporate and strategic aims are met. You will have exceptional food preparation and cooking skills and a culinary pedigree that will allow you to monitor and maintain the reputation of the department for exceptional culinary skills. You will actively support the department to maintain its national reputation within the competition calendar and lead on involvement with external partners that help to bring great enrichment to our students
Your role will have some teaching responsibilities within the department and you will take responsibility for all aspects of workload and performance management of a group of staff. You will continue to promote the student driven culture of high performance and excellent teaching, learning and assessment that is at the core of the department
This role will provide opportunities for you to develop wider leadership skills and a potential pathway to more senior leadership roles within the college.
