Think you have what it takes to help manage one of the company’s excellent Equity Clubs in the Alps? This job would suit someone keen to progress in hospitality management and is looking for their next step up, or doing a similar job to where they are at present but doing it in a new country and culture.
With over 80 years in the business, we are leaders in the educational travel sector and as such are looking for Deputy Managers to help lead and inspire their teams to deliver the highest level of service to our guests. Mainly catering for school groups, but with adult guests and families also featuring in our busy seasonal programme, your job will be constantly varied and no two days will be the same!
You will take on various responsibilities which will include; running the restaurant service, supervising the daily cleaning of the guest rooms, ensuring clear communication across the teams, attending or hosting weekly meetings, aiding staff development and training, assisting in the preparation of rotas and time-sheets, dealing with customer feedback and helping manage bar sales and maximise profit. To achieve all that, the key is your staff management and ensuring your team remains motivated and enthusiastic throughout the season.
We are looking for a strong person as Deputy Manager, one who has a sound knowledge of hotel operations, ideally coming from either a hotel, restaurant or bar background with previous management or supervisory experience. In the absence of the Hotel Manager, you will be confident in running the hotel. A passion for ensuring the hotel runs as well as it can, managing a young team and giving great customer service to both our adult guests and children is paramount, though a passion for the ski industry and living out in the Alps is a bonus.
You will be supported at every step of the way when starting out your career with Equity. We have opportunities all year-round so your employment doesn’t just have to stop when the snow does!
Can you make the grade? At Equity we are passionate about our staff and offer a competitive package to entice you away from the humdrum of daily life to come and work for us in the sunny, snowy mountains! We will provide full accommodation, insurance, travel to and from the UK, competitive salary, three meals a day, ski hire and a resort lift pass.
