Fares & Ticketing Consultant, West Coast of USA, Very Good Salary

Our client is a Strategic Travel Management and Services Company, leading its field with a vision to attract, develop and retain the most talented people within the industry. Delivering outstanding service to clients has remained the top focus for this business and they consistently demonstrate ROI significantly above any other
TMC’s. Due to the successful growth of this Travel Management agency they are looking for an experienced Fares & Ticketing Travel Consultant to join the Fares Optimisation team.

The responsibilities of the Fares & Ticketing Consultant are as follows:

  • Check and process ticket re-issue’s and fare calculations for US offices
  • Manually build fare constructions such as RTW fares or when itineraries do not auto price
  • Answer internal ticketing queries by phone, email and task management
  • Assist Corporate Travel Consultants with understanding of nett fare rules and restrictions
  • Full ownership of International fares/product portfolio, delivering optimised point of sale solutions
  • Ensure International Fares knowledge is current and relevant at all times with a proactive sharing approach with other team members and the wider business
  • Ongoing identification of additional related products in the market and to provide feedback to Commercial and Product related functions

The skills Required for the Fares & Ticketing role:

  • Proficient knowledge of ARC airfare construction
  • Recognised industry qualifications (BA1 & 2, VA 1 & 2)
  • Knowledge of US Ticketing & Commission contracts
  • A good working knowledge of the GDS preferably Sabre
  • Extensive geographical knowledge
  • 5+ years International Fares and Ticketing experience with extensive knowledge of the USA market
  • High level of commercial acumen with the ability make snap decisions under pressure
  • A robust analytical skill set, with a penchant for complex problem solving and thinking outside the box
