Fares & Ticketing Consultant

Overview:
This presitigious company employ over 600 people and is in the top ten of its sector, a Strategic Travel Management and Services Company, leading its field with a vision to attract, develop and retain the most talented people within the industry.

They have an enviable reputation for exceptional service through delivering strategic travel management solutions to an expanding base of clients in its chosen client sectors. The main role of a Ticketing & Support Consultant is to assist our BT operations team with a variety of tasks for our consultants based in head office, our implant teams and home workers.

Principle Responsibilities:
*Check and process ticket re-issue's and fare calculations
*Manually build fare constructions such when itineraries do not auto price
*Answer internal ticketing queries by phone and email
*Assist BT consultants with understanding of nett fare rules and restrictions
*Ensuring airlines fares are loaded correctly and liaising with airlines to rectify if not
*Assist Accounts/Operations with ADM inspection


Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
*Proficient knowledge of IATA airfare construction
*Recognised industry qualifications (BA1&2, VA1&2)
*Knowledge of US Ticketing & Commissions an advantage
*A good working knowledge of the GDS preferably Sabre
*Extensive geographical knowledge
*Excellent attention to detail
*Good communication skills
*Strong organisation skills - able to plan, co-ordinate and organise effectively
*Self-motivated, patient and disciplined
*Ability to work as part of a team and independently
*The ability to work under pressure and take responsibility for decision making
*Ability to make effective use of resources available to complete tasks to agreed deadline
*Quality control across all aspects of our procedures and processes
*Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Pay is £27,000 pa. There is also have a monthly and quarterly incentive for the team which based on the last year resultss would come to an OTE of £30,000.

A benefits package still in place which includes an annual bonus of up to 5% of their annual salary.
