At Heathrow, over 200,000 passengers pass through our terminals every single day, returning from overseas or flying out to destinations all around the world. As you can imagine, ensuring the safety and security of so many people is no simple matter. It takes a dedicated team with a host of different skills and backgrounds.
And now, thanks to our full-time late shifts and part-time evening shifts, roles in our dedicated Security team are open to even more people. With these rosters, whether you want to work around your children's school times, other family commitments, or just your own particular lifestyle, you have the opportunity to find a career at Heathrow outside of normal daytime working hours.
We'll prepare you for the position through a four-week training period. Your first two weeks will be on a 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday schedule, based at our head office at the airport, followed by two weeks following a training shift pattern to learn the role in our operation. Once you've completed your training, you'll begin working the part-time or full-time shift pattern you've applied for. Our part-time opportunity is to work evenings in T4, beginning each shift at 17:00 and finishing either at 21:15 or 21:30. Our full-time opportunity is to work a late shift in T5, starting each day between 12:15 and 13:45 and finishing between 20:45 and 22:45. Our rosters follow a four days on, two days off cycle to support our 24/7 operation. Once you've started with us, we'll let you know which days you are working, and the exact timings, a year in advance.
If you have the empathy, understanding and helpful attitude needed for the job combined with great customer service skills, we'll provide the training and support for you to deliver a great experience for our passengers.
Apply now and find out how our roles could fit around you.
