Flight Reservations Consultant

Flight Reservations Consultant is required by a highly-regarded travel tour operator that specialises in ethical and adventure travel. As the Flight Reservations Consultant you will play a key role in maintaining relationships with suppliers and airlines as well as providing quality support to clients. The candidate is expected to be detail oriented as well as proactive with a good understanding of airline procedures.    This is an excellent entry level position.

As the Flight Reservations Consultant, you will:

• Review sales, produce flight reports and confirm allocations on Travelink
• Liaise with airport representatives
• Request upgrades for tour leaders and clients and organise ad-hoc seats, domestic add-ons
• Produce and distribute travel documents for all clients including land only
• Confirm seat and reservations changes and assist with production of all-staff memos
• Handle client queries and communication by telephone and email
• Assist with reservations and sales duties
• Assist with producing travel related reports and statistics for key suppliers
• Be responsible for upselling and promoting special offers
• Support the Crisis Response Team in emergency situations as and when these arise

The Flight Reservations Consultant is:

• Proficient in the Global Distribution System (GDS)
• Knowledgeable in airline procedures
• Experienced in reservations and sales
• Good numerical and general IT skills
• A professional and friendly telephone manner
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
