Flights and Ticketing Consultant

A  Luxury Travel Company located in Chelsea is looking for an experienced Flights and Ticketing Specialist to work on some of their prestigious VIP accounts. You will be responsible for gathering the most competitive options for travellers on worldwide flights, rail, ferry and various ground arrangements. You will also provide valuable and accurate insurance, passport, visa and destination information. 

THE JOB: 

As a Flight and Fares specialist you will be handling the enquiries and bookings for a particular range of accounts. 

Duties will include: 

  • Handling client travel requests via telephone, email and booking tools.
  • Sourcing the most cost effective routes of transport including Flights and Rail & Ground Arrangements.
  • Responsible for issuing airline tickets and ticket reissues. Issue CAT35/25 fares, Nett, ITX and Published fares, deal with re-issues, refunds, manage fares & airline contracts
  • Processing automated ticket refunds (e.g. cancellations).
  • Responsible for dealing with airlines regarding errors with dates/names etc.
  • Ensuring all IATA updates is adhered to.
  • Responsible for ensuring documentation is accurate and punctual.
  • Filing airline net rate contracts and ensuring ticketing information is correct and up to date.
  • Ensure ticketing notes and airline rates are updated regularly
  • General administration, including running reports, managing queues, issuing and invoicing tickets

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • Using multiple GDS systems: Sabre, Worldspan Galileo and Amadeus to source and book flights.
  • Previous experience of working within a Travel Management Company and/or similar is essential
  • Optimal knowledge of Airlines contracts
  • Advanced fares and ticketing knowledge including manual fares creation.
  • Knowledge of handling BSP issues, re-issues, refunds etc.
  • Exceptional customer service skills 

THE PACKAGE: 

The salary range for this Flight Specialist role is between £25,000 and £32,000 per year depending on experience, plus an array of employee benefits. 

Working on Mon-Fri and a rota for half day on either Saturdays or Sundays TBC.
