Flights Aviation Manager – Adventure Travel - £35k

 

A market leading adventure travel tour operator, with a reputation for excellence, are looking for a Flights Aviation Manager.  As Flights Aviation Manager you will be responsible for managing the Ticketing Team, flight costings and air product to maximise sales and profitability.  This role as Flights Aviation Manager is with one of the most trusted and reputable travel companies in the country, known for their passion for travel and their dedication to providing truly unforgettable trips and travel experiences.  

 

As Flights Aviation Manager you will:

  • Manage a team of 7 staff (located at our Head-office and in India)
  • Update reservations, costing and ticketing systems
  • Choose airline product in line with market rates whilst balancing quality and price
  • Developing professional relationships with airlines to maximise commercial product benefits
  • Develop and maintain an excellent knowledge of company policies and product for dealing with clients who have special requirements
  • Develop and increase knowledge of products and geographical areas through training and self-development

 

The ideal Flights Aviation Manager will have at least 3 years previous Air Contracting experience and extensive GDS (either Galileo or Amadeus) knowledge with some managerial or supervisory experience.  The Flights Aviation Manager will have knowledge of airline infrastructure, fares and ancillary services with first rate written and communication skills to enable strong negotiation and assist with sound commercial decisions.  The Flights Aviation Manager be confident a confident people person who is able lead, build and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders reflective of the ethical ethos of the business.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their career with a leading responsible travel provider.
