The Role

An excellent opportunity for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our friendly team near Croydon.

Currently averaging 50 Weddings a year, turning over a million pounds per annum and supported by a team of 20 people plus you will ensure that our members and guests have a great experience whether that is attending a golf day, lunching with friends in our 50 cover restaurant, enjoying a Sunday carvery or attending a wedding or event in one of our four well-appointed function rooms.

We are all about fun and creating a sense of community for our members so friendly efficient service and a welcoming atmosphere is what we are all about. We are as passionate about our staff as we are about the service we provide, so our ideal candidate will be keen to implement structured training and development plans for their team as we work towards becoming a recognised Investors In People.

The role is 40 hours per week, on a 5 days out of 7 basis, including weekends and bank holidays, however a degree of flexibility will be required from time to time in support of the business. The restaurant is open daily and evening functions take place regularly, particularly at weekends.

Our Ideal Applicant:

* Prior experience in a busy brasserie or fresh food restaurant at Assistant or Manager level
* Excellent communication and people management skills with the ability to drain, develop and build a team
* Experience of running functions and weddings essential
* Great customer service skills
* Enthusiastic in developing the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
* People management and development experience
* Personable, approachable with a natural authority
* Able to maximise sales through effective upselling
* Strong stock management skills
* Good standard of written and spoken English
* Smart personal presentation and polite manner
* Reliable, hard-working with a desire to progress and develop your career
