Food & Beverage Manager: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate Food & Beverage professional to lead this dedicated F&B Division at for an award winning Hotel, Golf & Spa with stunning surroundings in Colchester.

The Role of Food & Beverage Manager
You'd be leading a team, driving excellent customer service and standards, motivating and developing employees to achieve exceptional results. You'll ensure a friendly and welcoming environment is upheld at all times, as well as a positive working atmosphere for our employees

We're looking for someone who is passionate about people, food and drinks and working alongside the operational team, your duties will include following:

* Supporting the Operations Manager, you will lead by example and assist with training the team, ensuring they have everything they need to be able to successfully carry out their duties.
* Ensuring the restaurant and bar are ready for service and staff are organised and aware of any changes to the menu and current promotions.
* Maintaining regular communication with the kitchen team in order to ensure the smooth running of the food and beverage team.
* Being hands-on, assisting with service, taking orders and payments, organising bookings and supporting on the bar.
* Driving sales across functions, restaurant and bar, maximising sales opportunities by promoting add on sales and publicising events
* Ensuring the bar is fully stocked with snacks and beverages
* Promoting high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, as well as ensuring the team are abiding by any company and legal requirements.

Responsibilities as Food & Beverage Manager
Sales - Ensure all sales in all department are achieved according to budget and implement upselling wherever possible to exceed results.

Profit / Cost Control - Prepare, check and monitor departmental budget and P&L to ensure they are in line with set objectives and meet the service and business needs. Displaying financial awareness and controlling costs.

Customer Satisfaction - Assist in the activity of quality awards such as AA, and achieve high standard of guest satisfaction on all web site like Tripadvisor, on internal feedback and on guest feedback letters and forms.

Team - Ensure that team members are correctly uniformed, are punctual, polite, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times. You will also manage departmental recruitment, carry out 1:1 meetings and performance reviews with team members, agree developmental training and action plans and ensure that all staff have a job description.

Operations - Vigilance, awareness and appropriate action in maintaining departmental and hotel security. Duty Management shifts as required. Being flexible and adapting quickly and positively to new situations, keeping emphasis on a balanced approach. Inspecting hotel and department on a regular basis in to make sure that standards have been met.

For the role of Food & Beverage Manager there is an excellent salary on offer. Meals on duty and accommodation may be provided.
