We are currently recruiting for an experienced GDS Support Consultant - Travel to join our client who are an established travel management company with an excellent reputation in the Business Travel world.

The purpose of the GDS Support Consultant - Travel role is to provide 1st and 2nd Line level support for the reservation systems, point of sales scripts and any in-house developed point of sales applications.

The duties of the GDS Support Consultant - Travel are:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd Line support for internal users
  • Help to resolve general GDS queries
  • Enable GDS access and Password Resets
  • Support Agent Point of sale scripts maintenance
  • Escalate 3rd level of support with suppliers
  • Provide agent training.
  • Keep up to date with new product releases
  • Assist with testing new configuration and booking applications
  • Assist testing and installation of new updates and releases
  • Ensure all documentation for Agent Desktop implementations are up to date
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary

The skills required for the GDS Support Consultant - Travel are:

  • Minimum 2 years’ TMC experience
  • Have expert knowledge of Galileo and/or Sabre and an interest in IT.
  • Good understanding of the basic steps of the troubleshooting process
  • Have solid MS Office skills and be able to use basic formulas in Excel
  • Be able to install applications and understand installation error messages
  • Logical problem solver
  • Able to prioritise workload
  • Take ownership and responsibility
  • Be passionate about travel technology
