The Role

Work in the amazing and diverse Normandie Bocage!

The Chateau offers its customers (and staff) a large summer swimming pool, 'Grade A' Rugby/Football pitch, Multi Gaming sports area, large parkland and a beautiful Chateau.

At Travelbound, we've been operating for more than 28 years and have a wealth of experience organising student tours and providing educational travel services. This means our customers can trust us and we guarantee that we'll do everything we can to make their tour a success.



What you will be doing

As a General Assistant your role is very much customer facing; you will be directly involved with the guests and providing a comprehensive meal service at breakfast and evening meal times, plus housekeeping duties such as cleaning and presenting the bedrooms and communal areas.

All General Assistants are the heart and soul of the chateau and as such help to heavily influence our customers experience.



What we are looking for

. Someone who can assist in the profitable day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring company standards are adhered to.

. Complete housekeeping duties speedily and efficiently during large changeovers. This include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, plus hoovering and general cleaning on none changeover days.

. Can work within our food safety guidelines to serve breakfast and evening meals professionally and efficiently to different types of groups.

. To assist with Bar duties if required.

. Interacting with guests at meal times including additional paid extra food events on evenings.

. Actively encourage the school groups to speak introductory French at meal times.

. Working conditions: Most duties will take place in and around the Chateau; you will work a 5.5 day week with a full day and a half off per week. You will be expected to work 48 hours per week on average during the season.
